libha-jdbc-java software package provides JDBC proxy that provides clustering capability to any JDBC driver, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libha-jdbc-java
libha-jdbc-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libha-jdbc-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libha-jdbc-java *
You will get with libha-jdbc-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
